Necklace: Ice Resin Pendant with Love Heart Charm on 24″ Chain with Chinese Crystal Faceted Round and Silver BeadsSaturday, May 26th, 2012
The pendant was a class project at Creative U in Cave Creek. We dabbed acrylic paint and sparkles in the bottom of the pendant tray then filled it with Ice Resin. The pendants were then placed in the kiln to harden. On the day of the class, the kiln malfunctioned and burned the projects so we started over and returned on another day to pick them up. I retrieved mine yesterday and put it together with my jewlrymaking stock on hand at home.
I received these large brown beads with silver disks as a freebie with an order of jewelry products. Since the beads were quite large with a large hole, I used them with copper beads (also with a large hole) on a 16″ 4mm black leather cord. It’s always a fun challenge for me to create a piece of jewelry from mixes or somewhat odd beads. This necklace has a bold, yet stylish look.
