Photography: Arizona Wildflowers – near Canyon Lake March 16, 2008

Sunday, March 16th, 2008

This picture was taken near Canyon Lake, northeast of Apache Junction, Arizona.  We passed quite a number of cars on the road doing the same as we were–driving and stopping every few miles to take pictures.  There are likely a few weeks left to see the bloom.  Alot of yellow and purple mixed with a few whites are in bloom now.  The cactus look healthy and the mountainsides resemble green velvet.

Photography: Superstition Mountain – Phoenix, Arizona

Wednesday, March 5th, 2008

This photo was taken at the west side of Superstition Mountain from Lost Dutchman State Park on March 1, 2008.  Many visitors were there anxiously awaiting the wild flower bloom–which is expected to be spectacular this year due to a higher than average spring rainfall.

Maine Fall Color 2003

My sister and I traveled to Maine in October, 2003.  We flew to Manchester, New Hampshire,  rented a car and drove along the coast to Bar Harbor.  The colors and scenery were spectacular!

Rock formation in Navajo land located in northeast Arizona in northwest New Mexico. Traveling through this area at sunset is a colorful experience.

Photography: Michigan Lighthouse

My sister and I traveled to Michigan a few years ago where we found most of the lighthouses along our pathway around the state.  This one happened to have just the right amount of light behind it to make a good memory.
